It all began one Sunday in May, when Curtis and Sarah met for the second time, thrown together by the providence of a “blind date,” and the good grace of God. Now, on a Saturday in May, they plan to pledge their love and join their lives in a covenant of marriage, and hope that you will be present as witnesses and co-celebrants at this joyous occasion. For those of you interested in how Curtis proposed, well, it was beautiful. Because he knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Sarah by his side as bride and wife, he proposed that they walk through the park one late, January evening. Though the sun had set and the moon was hiding, there was enough light on Liberty Bridge to see the Reedy River Falls in all their glory. As the couple stood gazing on the falls, with no other spectators around, Curtis began a speech that culminated in a declaration of love and a request on bended knee. Sarah, with tears of joy in her eyes, and a temporary vocal incapacity, nodded her assent and willingly and joyfully agreed to be his bride.
