Texas Bound
“Where are you going?”
The short discussion on which is the better way to I-20 ended in a draw while the baby squealed excitedly in the back seat.
The roads are fairly deserted at 3:45 am (a full 25 minutes later than we had hoped to get out the door). While the alarms rang at 3:00, there were a few last minute things to deal with such as breaking down the pack n play, pie for breakfast and an extra cup of coffee for the road. Even so, we are making excellent time and the white noise from the road coupled with the intense darkness of the sky make me hopeful that W will go back to sleep and wake up at his normal time for breakfast.
Overall, a long drive that proved to be mostly uneventful, except the early morning storms that we drove through. Vicksburg was not worth writing home about, except to say it’s not a good place to stop.
We arrived at the Air BnB in time to hang out by the pool and visit on The covered patio for several hours.
